Our Mission

The Crossings Animal Society, Inc. located in Washington Crossing, PA, is a 501(c)(3)non-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization.  Begun in 2009, our mission is to provide quality care and a loving home for every dog and cat in our area. Located in Bucks County, PA, we also help dogs and cats in Mercer and Hunterdon Counties in NJ, as well as in other nearby locations.


Our Goals

To achieve our mission, The Crossings Animal Society has established the following goals:

1) Acquire land, build and operate a no-kill dog and cat sanctuary;

2) Provide programs that directly assist area dogs and cats, including financial assistance for life-sustaining veterinary care and adoption of surrendered pets;

3) Assist local rescue organizations with information and referral, financial assistance for veterinary care, and pet adoptions;

4) Educate the public about no-kill philosophy and other important issues affecting the welfare of animals; 

5) Partner with other non-profit corporations, civic groups, and government bodies or agencies to more effectively and collaboratively fulfill our mission; and

6) Achieve the goal of a no-kill community, with a save rate of 95-98% of all companion dogs and cats
