Diva Wants You to Stop Playing Hard to Get.

At 11 years old, Diva should be enjoying sunny naps and quiet afternoons with the family she's loved for years—not wondering where she'll call home next.

Diva has been part of The Crossings Animal Society family since 2022, when we welcomed her from Associated Humane Societies in Newark. Before long, she found a loving Bucks County family who adored her. For the past several years, Diva has known the comfort of a real home, where she was cherished, safe, and thoroughly spoiled.

Recently, Diva was returned to our care after serious health challenges within her adoptive family made it impossible for them to continue caring for her. It was a heartbreaking decision made out of love, and one that reminds us that sometimes life changes in ways no one can predict.

Today, Diva is settling into a foster home within CAS's network, where she's quickly reminding everyone why so many people have fallen in love with her over the years.

She is everything you'd hope for in a senior companion. Diva is affectionate, gentle, and wonderfully easy to live with. She enjoys long walks, leisurely car rides, chewing on her favorite toys, and stretching out in a sunny spot for an afternoon nap. Once she's had a little adventure, she's perfectly content to curl up nearby and simply enjoy your company.

While Diva does need to be the only pet in the home, she more than makes up for it with the love she has to give. People are her favorite thing, and she's happiest when she's close to the humans she loves.

Senior dogs like Diva are often overlooked in shelters and rescues, but those who welcome them into their homes know just how special they are. They're past the puppy stage, grateful for every kindness, and ready to spend their days being loyal, loving companions.

Diva has already experienced the joy of having a family. We'd love nothing more than to see her find that happiness again.
