Jasper - A Gentle, Resilient Soul Looking for a Calm and Loving Home's Story
Jasper’s world used to be very small. Now, at 7 years old, he’s discovering just how big life can be—and he’s making up for lost time. Jasper is a 50-pound hound mix who was rescued after animal welfare authorities intervened when he was found permanently chained outside down South. He still carries a scar around his neck from those days, but his life looks very different since coming up to Bucks County early this summer.
He’s been in foster with two bonded senior dogs, made friends at the local dog park, enjoyed morning walks in his bustling suburban neighborhood, and even taken trips to the Jersey Shore with his foster family.
Jasper is friendly, easygoing, and sweet, with a gentle personality. He can be a little shy at first, but once he’s comfortable, his personality really starts to shine. He gets along well with other dogs and has been relaxed around young children he’s met. Another dog in his forever home would be wonderful for his confidence, but it’s not a requirement. He’d love a home with someone looking for a social, easygoing companion who is happy to hang out, go for a walk, and enjoy life without needing to be the center of attention.
Jasper is the kind of dog who can be part of the action while still bringing a calm, quiet presence to the room. Jasper does have some urinary incontinence that requires continued medication. It’s simply a pill given with food, and we’re happy to talk with potential adopters about his routine and help make the transition as easy as possible. Jasper has spent enough time waiting for his life to begin. Now he’s ready for someone to keep the adventures going and show him there’s so much more ahead.
